Striped Leggings – A Must Have In Your Daughter’s Wardrobe
When I was still young and a child, I would always remember my mom dressing me up with fitted underpants. I did not know then that I would still be wearing its replica fifteen years later. My mother was very fond of striped leggings and looking at old photographs, she was right and her style on a little girl was not far from the trend I follow now. I do have a pair of striped leggings in my closet.
Leggings are very comfortable to wear. Not only adults enjoy the feel of the supple material on the lower torso and whole length of the legs. Most of the leggings are footed, stiruped or full footed, although there are other designs that are exaggerated but fashionable.
A very unique type of leggings is the striped leggings. I found its rarity a motivation to try on a new mode. Instead of the solid colors, I wanted to give a try on the printed one. And for that, I opted for the stripes.
As I am in the mood to experiment, I bought a pair of striped leggings. Taking it out off the rack, I reminisce on the days when my wardrobe had one of this kind. That was many years back. I chose the same color – the red and white. Wearing the newly bought striped leggings with a red over-sized turtle neck sweater was very becoming. At the back of my mind – I think of how stylist my mother was.
There are two distinct kinds of stripes. One type has horizontal pattern and the other has vertical pattern. As in shirts, you have to be choosy on the pattern – depending upon your body structure. For the leggings, your choice of vertical or horizontal depends on the shape of your legs.
If you have short legs, then do not go for the horizontal stripes. These will make your legs look even shorter and plump. Go for the vertical stripes which will give an impression of longer and thinner legs. Unlike leggings with solid colors, the striped leggings give your legs a dramatic impact – a big change in appearance.
The black and white stripes are as common and popular as the white and red stripes. The black and white stripes are associated with zebra. There are yellow and black stripes which are linked to the tiger. But the striped leggings are not limited to two colors. There can be varied straight lines in a single pair. So – the leggings become multi-colored striped leggings. How would you like that?
Striped leggings are very becoming to little girls. But with some experimentation, I found out that the striped leggings with the correct top demonstrate more dramatic effect. They make the wearer exceptionally fashionable.
